What
The Young Artists programme is returning this summer after three successful terms last year. This year, we are opening up the programme to 12 to 15 year olds who live and/or study in North Kensington and the surrounding areas. Registration is now open.
This summer holiday, the Young Artists will work with Jack Rooney, our Studio 13 Resident, and be introduced to a range of materials to explore how creativity can grow. Using sound, sculpture, photography, and drawing, the Young Artists will participate in playful and collaborative sessions that will encourage growth and confidence in sharing ideas.
The Young Artists will work inside Jack's studio and have the chance to understand what it means to be a practicing artist. They will also have the opportunity to visit the Hayward Gallery (free of charge) as a group to widen their perspectives of art outside of the studio as well as gain an Arts Award Explore qualification from Trinity College London and Arts Council England. Previous groups have visited Contemporary Sculpture Fulmer, Huxley-Parlour Gallery and Royal Society of Sculptors.
To register, please complete the Microsoft Form linked on this page by Sunday 3rd July.
You can also take part in a taster session on Saturday 25 July. See our 'Young Artists Taster Session' post for details.
