What

Through our Support-Ed Programme, the team will work holistically with any young person and his or her family, who have been identified by the Local Authority, School or Alternative Provision as causing concern and work in partnership with specialist Behavioural Analysis and Support Services to ensure a bespoke package is in place for each individual young person. We work with young people, identified as at risk of not achieving their KS1, KS2, KS3 or KS4 targets, at Risk of Exclusion, of not achieving the EHCP Targets or at risk of becoming a Looked After Child. We also provide intensive 1:1 support for young people with or without an ISSP (Intensive Supervision and Surveillance Programme) or who have involved in the Criminal Justice System and or gang related activity. The Support-Ed Project will deliver: • Intensive 1:1 tuition through a personalised individual home or community learning programme with clear weekly academic targets and reports. •Intensive support to tackle the factors that contribute to a young person’s offending behaviour focused on diversion away from criminal activity/custodial sentences as part of an ISSP. • Same day targeted approach to addressing issues at home. • Flexible needs led individual academic and pastoral support. • One-to-one support in the classroom or off-site. • Support for parents/carers to engage in their child’s education to raise aspirations, and self esteem. • Extra-curricular interest based activities. • Intensive tuition and preparations for exams. • Close liaison with all agencies working with the young person. • A direct challenge to non attendance, punctuality issues and behavioural concerns.
