What

Our term time Kids Club is the corner stone of our activities in HD and provide a safe space for children to play, make friends and engage in creative and physical activities, with trusted adult relationships available for support. Kids club evolved around the art therapy open groups developed in the early days after the fire and has grown into a thriving resource for children and families.

LCAT - Henry Dickens (HD) Kids' Club currently runs in two groups during term time with the following activities:

All other sessions take place at Henry Dickens Community Centre:

Tuesday - After school club 3.30 - 5.30 for ALL ages 5 - 16

Wednesday - FutureHood and Youth Club - ALL ages 4 -6pm and inclusive youth club with FutureHood session for local children interested in their environment.

Thursday - After school club 3.30 - 5.30 for KS1 (ages 5 - 7) and multi sports for (age 8 -16)

Friday - After school 2.30 - 5.30 for All children over 8

We offer a wide range of inclusive activities including: Football and other sports; arts and crafts; small world play; role play; cooking and games which encourage socialising and free play.

In order to promote health, all sessions provide healthy snacks. We ask that children do not bring in their own snacks or fizzy drinks or any tech items including phones ( we can look after phones during the session).

Our unique provision at Henry Dickens includes an opportunity for children to attend our art therapy open groups that run along side the sessions if they choose to do this. These can help with a range of social, emotional and mental health issues that young people may be facing. Please ask to meet with one of our Art Psychotherapists for more information.
