Solidarity Sports
About Organisation
When Solidarity Sports was founded in 2007, we began with a simple but powerful idea: that sport could be a fun, accessible way to bring children together, build confidence and support wellbeing. Over time, as we listened to families and saw the depth of need in our community, our work naturally grew. Today, our support goes far beyond sport alone.
For nearly two decades, Solidarity Sports has used the power of play, relationships and consistent support to help children and young people affected by poverty, domestic abuse and complex trauma to feel safe, valued and hopeful. We work alongside families to support children’s recovery and development through sport, healthy food, creative activities, educational trips, mentoring and residential experiences in the UK and abroad, always with a focus on long-term impact, not short-term fixes.
