About Project

Students will have 4 days to design and create their own garment. This can be a hoodie, cargo pants or a corset. On day one, students will attend the DIVA exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum to celebrate the power and creativity of some of the world’s most iconic performers. Students will have the opportunity to take a Fashion Tour at the V&A (free event) afterwards. Next, they will attend the DIVA exhibition at Saatchi Gallery to explore London’s role in Fashion, with a strong focus on Young Designers. Students will then use the remaining 3 days, learning how to design and construct their garment taking inspiration from the seen exhibitions. This will be a safe space for LGBTQIA+ young people to express themselves through fashion and encourage originality, and empowering them with fashion-related education with knowledge shared by our tutors.
