We welcome people of all abilities and backgrounds. This is a fully inclusive activity and all can learn new skills and enjoy it.
What
We, youth media charity, The Screen Film Community, have been providing skills training in Film & TV Production in the area for over 10 years.
Our USP is that industry professionals teach the young people, there are no barriers to joining our activity, and also the beneficiaries get direct pathways to the best Film & TV sixth form, universities and also jobs and careers.
In addition our young people love it, they make fast friends and it increases their self confidence and happiness.
This workshop will be starting on September 20th 2025 through to November 1 and will run for 7 Saturdays 10.30am to 5pm. The sessions comprise of;
Storytelling, Scriptwriting, Production Management, Camera, Directing, We Have a Shoot Day & Editing.
Throughout the sessions you will watch and discuss award winning films learn how to operate a professional camera, audition actors, design sets and costume, and hair & make-up and by the end you will have a finished film with your name on the credits.
This activity also qualifies for Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.
