What
Our project will provide mental health support and creative therapy for displaced Ukrainian children and young people, focusing on emotional healing, resilience-building, and social integration. Through art, music, drama, and mindfulness workshops, we will create a safe space where children can express their emotions, develop coping strategies, and rebuild their confidence.
Many displaced children face anxiety, PTSD, and depression due to war and forced migration. Adjusting to a new country, language, and culture adds additional stress. Our project will help them:
Process Trauma – Creative expression (art, music, and storytelling) will allow children to release emotions and share experiences in a non-verbal way.
Improve Emotional Wellbeing – Group therapy sessions and guided mindfulness activities will teach children coping mechanisms for stress and anxiety.
Foster Social Connection – Peer support groups and collaborative activities will help children develop friendships and reduce social isolation.
Strengthen Identity & Belonging – Cultural activities will help children stay connected to their heritage while integrating into UK society.
By providing holistic mental health support, we aim to improve emotional wellbeing, build resilience, and empower young people to thrive.
