What

At Street League we are pleased to be offering Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1 and Level 2 as well as Level 1 Sports Coaching Award from September onwards for ages 16-24. This course is for the young people who have not or will not achieve a Grade 3 or above in their GCSE Maths and English. We work with many young people who face this academic barrier when taking their next steps in their education or career and it has been on the increase since the pandemic. We offer Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2 Maths and English courses for ages 16 to 24. The Functional Skills Courses will last for 4 months in total and is accredited by City & Guilds. Alongside our Functional Skills Programme, we will also be running our Level 1 Sports Coaching Award which eligible young people can participate in whilst completing their Maths and English qualifications. Requirements • Aged between 16 and 24 years old • Not currently in education, training or employment (more than 16 hours per week) • Haven’t already attained a level 1 or 2 or GCSE equivalent in Maths and/or English • Can commit to the course for a duration of 4 months • Can commit to travelling to a Street League Academy in London* * Locations in London to be confirmed Upon Referring A Young Person Most importantly, we are looking to support young people who are motivated, punctual and committed to gaining their Functional Skills qualification. As the course is condensed into a 4 month period, it is a fast-paced and requires a high level of engagement to ensure the best possible grade is achieved. Referring does NOT guarantee a young person a place. We have a limited number of spaces for this opportunity.
