Far Far Away
About Project
FAR FAR AWAY
Far Far Away is a free creative weekly drop in workshop for 8-13 years old taking place every Tuesday after school during term time. The headquarters of this activity are Kensal House.
SPID’s aim is to give the young people a chance to enter a creative world outside of their here and now. Travel through time and space to discover something completely original and train them in new skills involving all theatre disciplines (acting, design, movement, animation, film making, writing, etc).
Far far away workshops provide training in all these areas, suitable both for newcomers and SPID veterans, in standalone sessions or blocks, which build through the months. All year long the young people can develop skills to take centre stage or run the show from backstage.
To make these workshops even more exciting, each block is culminating in a short public showing of skills learnt or work accomplished.
Project runs weekly
During: School Term
Excluding: School Holidays & Bank Holidays
The project runs in 11 week blocks. The sessions are drop in and there is not commitment necessary so you can join part way through a block. Get in touch with us and we can let you know when our blocks are running.
