What

Our 1:1 counselling service aims to address the emotional and psychological needs of children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), offering them a safe space to process their grief and trauma.

Our counsellor addresses issues such as low self-esteem, emotional regulation, bereavement and complex family issues and uses art as her primary way of helping children and young people express how they are feeling. She explains that “the use of art is also as important as opportunities for creative expression and play are essential for a child’s development”.

Sessions are delivered at the centre by a qualified counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy for an initial duration of 12 weeks.
