Making communities work and Grow - Al Amaana Supplementary school
About Organisation
Al Amaana supplementary school has been operating for over 28 years within the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea..
We are currently based at Kensington Aldridge Academy, where we run classes every Saturday from 10am–3pm (term‑time).
Our Curriculum
We offer 8 progressive levels, from Reception up to Year 7, with a curriculum designed especially for non‑Arabic speakers. Our core subjects include:
- Arabic Language
- Qur’an Studies
- Islamic Studies
We also prepare students for GCSE Arabic, and every year at least 15 of our learners achieve a minimum Grade 7, a testament to the quality of our teaching and the dedication of our students.
Sunday Homework Club & Academic Support
In addition to our Saturday school, we offer Maths, Science, and Homework Support every Sunday for both Primary and Secondary students at:
Venue: 7 Thorpe Close, W10 5XL
Time: 11am–1pm
Our Homework Club is designed to help children build strong study habits, complete school assignments with confidence, and strengthen their understanding of core subjects. We also offer specialised preparation for SATs and GCSE exams, ensuring students are fully equipped with the skills, knowledge, and exam techniques they need to excel in their mainstream schooling.
Education Rooted in Values and Community
At AL AMAANA, our teaching and activities go beyond academic learning. We aim to:
- Foster cultural belonging
- Build self‑confidence
- Develop Values for Life
- Help every child grow academically and personally
We believe in nurturing the whole student — mind, heart, and identity so they feel proud of who they are and confident in what they can achieve.
The Our City does not manage bookings/registrations for this activity and is not responsible for the delivery of the project. If you have any questions, please contact the organisation directly.
